THUNDERCLAN - RIVERCLAN - SHADOWCLAN - WINDCLAN
01. A medicine cat cannot take on a mate. That does apply to a cat that was previously a warrior that had a mate. Their mate can still be alive or have passed on.
02. A medicine cat cannot have kits. This does not apply to a cat that was previously a warrior that had a mate and kits previously. Their mate and kits can still be alive or have passed on.
03. A medicine cat will never let personal feelings in the way of his or her duties. This is typically in a case where a medicine cat is in love with a cat in their clan or another clan and either neglects their clan and their duties or leaves their clan or duties.
04. Medicine cats are outside clan rivalries. Typically these cats are above clan rivalries because they need to work together regardless of what may be going on. Often this can lead to verbal confrontation from cats, but usually does not lead to physical confrontation between medicine cats.
05. A medicine cat may be trained in as a warrior before a medicine cat, but a medicine cat cannot become a normal warrior. If a medicine cat is going to retire from being a medicine cat, they will become an elder, regardless of age.
06. Medicine cats are outside Clan rivalries, but they still must learn basic fighting moves. This is in case they are ever attacked. While it is frowned upon to attack a medicine cat, it is one way to weaken a clan.
07. A medicine cat must be able to interpret signs from StarClan. Medicine cats must be able to read the prophecies and communicate with their ancestors as well as work with leaders to help them understand their dreams.
08. Medicine cats cannot reject an injured cat. It does not matter if they are an apprentice, kit, elder, or of another clan (or even no clan at all) if a medicine cat sees an injured cat, they must help.
09. A medicine cat must do everything in his or her power to save a sick or injured cat. ShadowClan sometimes rejects this and will give death berries to a cat that is completely hopeless. Sometimes this has to be ignored though, for instance, a cat that is trapped under a tree is best to be put out of their misery as cats are unable to lift trees.
10. A medicine cat will give his or her life to save a cat. It does not matter how dangerous the situation or how dangerous the disease.
