THUNDERCLAN - RIVERCLAN - SHADOWCLAN - WINDCLAN
01. Defend your clan with everything you have, including your life. You can have friendships with cats from other clans but your loyalty must remain to your clan as you may have to fight them in a battle some day.
02. Do not hunt or trespass on another clan's property. The only cat that is permitted to cross the boundary lines is the medicine cat who needs to gather herbs to help their clan. From time to time they may be accompanied with either an apprentice or warrior, though it may only be one other cat. If a clan finds a medicine cat with more than one other cat that is not their apprentice, the clan has a right to escort the party from their territory.
03. Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Apprentices are allowed to eat once elders have been hunted for, unless they were given permission by the leader, deputy, or have been ordered by the medicine cat. Cats who are sick or injured may eat with the elders, queens, and kits.
04. Prey is only killed to be eaten, not for sport or fun. A proper warrior gives thanks to StarClan for every piece of prey they catch and consume.
05. A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice, though in the past kits have been made apprentices sooner (at approximately four moons). This tends to be in times of stress and when a leader has lost faith in StarClan. This will only ever happen if special permission is given by the staff members.
06. Newly appointed warriors will keep a silent vigil for one night after they are receive their warrior name. This vigil will take place the day the ceremony does. Each warrior will be required to post two posts. If you are the only warrior, you can ask another member to post with you.
07. A cat cannot be made deputy without having first trained an apprentice. This can either have taken place in the cat's history or can take place in the game. In the game, training ends when the apprentice has gone through the four required threads and has had their ceremony. *If the apprentice dies or is forced to become an elder for any reason after the second thread, this will still count toward the cat's apprentice.
08. The deputy will become leader when the leader dies, resigns, or is exiled. This is up to the leader though, and can happen at any time. If there is no leader, the staff will hold an audition for existing characters within the clan and create a sub plot for the character to come to power.
09. After the death or retirement of a deputy, a new deputy must be named by moon-high. In the game, staff will hold auditions for existing characters to become deputy. Once the staff has picked a deputy the leader will hold the ceremony to appoint the new deputy and make it official within the game.
10. A gathering is held once a month during the full moon under a truce which lasts the entire night. It is said that if fighting begins within the clans, the moon will cover with clouds and the gathering is brought to an end. In the game, the gathering takes place once a month for two weeks. During this time, no fighting may be started without the permission of the staff.
11. Borders must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats. The exception is of course made for medicine cats. Patrols are set each week and must be posted by the leader of the patrol and participated by all members.
12. No warrior may neglect a kit in pain or in danger, even if the kit is from a different clan or no clan at all. Roleplayers may not bring a kit from a different clan onto another territory unless it is part of a subplot or plot and approved by the staff.
13. The word of the clan leader is law. If a clan leader breaks the warrior code and leads his or her clan into doing the same, only the leader will be punished by StarClan as the clan is merely doing what they are expected to do.
14. An honorable cat does not kill other cats during battle. They will only kill a cat who has broken the warrior code or if it is for self defense or to protect your clan.
15. A warrior rejects the soft life of a kitty-pet. It is frowned upon for a warrior to go to the kitty-pet place and be fed as well as it is frowned upon for a warrior to leave the clans and become a kitty pet.
