personality
[Marbleback has always been a fairly energetic cat. Due in part to his breeding, he seems to have the same amount of energy as any other cat, but contained in his tiny body it seems exponentially more. because of this, he has actually had very little difficulty with most of the terrain around RiverClan. He is able to just expel a ton of energy and jump nearly as well as any other cat. Of course, that did take a lot of hard work and training (see history).
As the moons fade, he has started to mellow out in day-to-day life. He is calmer in a normal setting (although in order to hunt or go on patrols he does need to excite himself to get the energy to keep up) and does his best not to annoy his clanmates with his constant chitter-chatter.
He is a regal cat and he holds himself as such. He has absolutely no insecurities about the way he is - in fact, he revels in the differences and takes pride in who he is. Of course, this didn't happen right out of the gate; it took him time to come to terms with his oddities. He is sterile, and he is perfectly content to be a bachelor all his life.
He is not an entire pacifist by nature although he does not love fighting. His small size coupled with his experience in training gives him a slight advantage (like fighting someone of apprentice size but far more knowledgeable). However at the same time it gives him just as many if not more disadvantages. He can get up under you easier, but he has almost no reach to attack. Instead, he far prefers hunting - showing off his skills by silently creeping up behind prey and taking it out with a quick bite.
Even though he has come to terms with the way he is, he still always feels like he has something to prove.]

history
[Emberheart's pregnancy and move to the Queen's Den came as chock to the entire Clan. She had no mate and she refused to speak of whomever it was that would be the father to her litter. Not long after, she gave birth with the help of Primrose. Unfortunately, all but one of her litter survived. Even he was smaller then expected and the Medicine Cat told her not to get her hopes up. But she did and together her and her kit fought for his life - and succeeded. Marblekit survived his birth.
Even though he lived, his young life was far from easy. He was sick more often then he was well and it was never a quick cough or sneeze. He spent quite a bit of time those first six moons in Primrose's den. But nearing four moons, he was starting to look up. His health was stabilizing and he was able to go weeks without getting sick.
And then he heard it - a rumour that he wasn't going to be given an apprentice name and he was going to be forced into the Elder's den at only six moons! He didn't want that at all. He went to his leader to beg that he be given a chance as a regular apprentice. All he wanted was to prove that he was good enough.
Although he never knew it, there had also been talk in the higher ups of making him the Medicine Cat's apprentice, however the Medicine Cat knew that was not what the kit wanted and through his pushing, Marblekit was made a warrior Apprentice.
His training was difficult. His mentor, Falconwire, did not go easy on him because of his size and that was exactly the way Marblepaw liked it. He spent hours every day practicing jumping and climbing and the other things that were naturally difficult for him. More often then not, this special training was done on his own, not to the knowledge of his mentor (although looking back and now a warrior himself he knew Falconwire was probably well aware of the extra work he did).
In addition to the physical work he did, he also had to go through a lot of mental work. His mother was his biggest supporter in his drive to feel good about himself and get over the insecurities he had about the way he looked. at a close second was his dutiful mentor who always looked after his apprentice. It took almost a year of struggling with he he was before he realized that he actually quite liked being different. It gave him something that set him apart and made him special.
Marblepaw's training took longer then the other apprentices, even with the extra amount of training he did but at nineteen moons, he was finally given his warrior name. He proudly took his place in the Warriors Den.
It has been almost a full turn of the seasons since he was given his warrior name and he waits excitedly for the day that he is blessed with his own apprentice to teach and care for. He knows that it would take a cat just as special as himself to learn from him and he hopes desperately that a kit comes along soon who will be able to look up to him the way he looked up to Falconwire.]
