mistwing
The wind carried the sweet smell of the meadow grass through the air, causing Mistwing to stop in her paw steps and suck in a deep breath through her nostrils. A wave of happiness washed over the she-cat and her whiskers twitched in pleasure. Ever since she was a small kit, anything that had to do with plants brought her immense joy, especially their scents! With a twitch of her tail, the cat continued on her way through the Grassy Meadow. She was headed for a patch of daisies on the far side of the opening.
It was mid-morning and Mistwing was doing one of her important duties as a medicine cat; collecting herbs. It was the first time since the cats arrived in the new territory that she had the time to actually go out and gather them in bulk. There had been a lot of sore or sickly cats in her den, due to the journey, occupying all of her attention, and she'd only had enough time to grab a leaf or two for whoever needed it. The number of cats in need of her help finally dwindled, and she had a fellow warrior watch over the leftover cats while she was gone. She was glad to have some time to get to know the territory and see what sort of medicines she was working with in their new home.
Mistwing reached the daisies and pulled out a good amount, setting them on the ground beside the patch. A few fox lengths away, Mistwing noticed a bundle of dandelions. She picked some then set them by her pile of daisies. This became a pattern; she would notice a new plant, pick it, then pile it onto her collection. After awhile, the pile had grown pretty massive. She would definitely have to make multiple trips, unless she found something extremely large to drag all of the goodies on. Mistwing left her pile in search of a big leaf or piece of bark.
