"Me, jealous? No! Why would you think that...?"
personality
The first thing cat's notice about Darkclaw, is that he is a very charming tom, despite his intimidating size. his honestly and sincerity attracts those around him. Because of his charming ways and his indecisiveness, cat's think he is a player. However, it simply means that he won't wait very long for a she-cat to fall in love with him. If it doesn't work, it doesn't work. He has the utmost respect for all of his clanmates, as well as the cats of the other clans. His first ideas will always take a utilitarian approach, meaning the most good for the most cats. However, this brings us to Darkclaw's first character flaw. He is incredibly jealous, to the point where he will assume his mate is attracted to another cat just because they were talking. If someone steals the she-cat he is courting from him, his jealousy will become very evident to anyone in the clan. He is ashamed of this side of himself, but there is nothing he can do to control it. Don't cross Darkclaw. His anger is not to fear, but know that he will never forgive you for what you've done. He is probably the most unforgiving cat in the four clans. He will be civil, but know that once you cross him, you will never be friends again. Darkclaw is also incredibly insensitive. It is obvious that he tries to pretend to be sensitive. The truth of the matter is that Darkclaw doesn't care about your sob story. He doesn't care about the life you left back home, and he doesn't care about the family and loved ones that you lost. He completely expects everyone to deal with it as well as he is, and to move on in attempts to rebuild the clan to it's former glory. The last part of Darkclaw's personality is that he has rebellious tendencies. They were worse when he was an apprentice, but just know that if you tell him to do something, he may not do it if he doesn't think it doesn't benefit the most cats. He sometimes doesn't get along with leaders due to this exact fact, and thanks to his insensitivity, he doesn't really care.
history
Dark-kit was very much like Darkclaw is today. He was charming, and fit in really well. He was easily jealous if his best friend played with other cats. He loved her in the only way that kits knew how, which made them best friends. Dark-kit almost always listened to his mother, except when he didn't. It depends on who you ask. Darkclaw will swear that he was obedient. If you ask his brothers, however, you will get a much different story. Sometimes, for whatever reason, his head told him that he should go right ahead and do that thing she told him not to do. It got him in trouble several times over. But his mother was a kind-hearted she-cat, and would most generally let him off the hook when she could. This maybe wasn't the best method of parenting for him, but she loved her kit very much. Darkpaw was so happy when he was finally made apprentice. He was closer to his mentor, Duskfang, than he had every been to any kit in the nursery. They were practically best friends, and it made it all the better when he was teaching him how to become a warrior. He was beginning to feel as though he would never escape the nursery. Besides that, his mother was tired of taking care of her kits. That much was obvious. She loved them all very much, but she could finally go back to patrols and gatherings, like she was used to. Darkpaw's rebellion was a lot worse when he was an apprentice. It got so bad that he started a border fight and got the rip in his ear that he was forever known for back at camp. After the fight, his rebelliousness dwindled to a quiet flame, flaring up only when he truly believed that a decision wasn't befitting the largest amount of cats possible. Once Darkclaw finally received his warrior name, it wasn't too long after that he received his first apprentice. He was a strong looking tom by the name of Flamepaw. Flamepaw and himself had a friendly rivalry, and the pair worked very well together. Flamepaw became a warrior after about 6 moons of training, becoming Flamefang. It didn't take them long to realize what had happened. As they came back from a hunt, the dead bodies of cats were practically filling the clearing. Duskfang was one of them. Darkclaw was given the honor of helping organize everything along with the leader, deputy, and a few other warriors who were a lot more experienced than himself. He agreed that the only way to survive was to evacuate as soon as possible. When their homes were poisoned, Darkclaw and Flamefang trailed behind to protect straggling queens, kits, and elders. Along the way, they crossed a thunderpath, and Flamefang gave his life to save a queen and her three kits, getting run over by a monster. Darkclaw was devastated but he knew that he had to work two times as hard to make sure that the clan reached a new home, and Flamefang didn't give his life in vain. His only wish is that his friend found a way to StarClan.
