THEIR TRASH-FILLED STREETS MAKE ME WISH WE WERE HEADING HOME
personality
Throughout ThunderClan, it's known that Lavenderstar is a very dependable cat. Ever since she was a small kit she would always live up to her word, and do whatever she had promised to do. Lavenderstar is also known for being fair, especially when it concerns her clanmates. She's never wrongfully accused, or given an unfair punishment to any cat, no matter who they are. Lavenderstar is also very observant, and can almost spot out anything that's happening around her. Even if she were in a conversation with on cat, she would be noticing something that was happening across the clearing. She's not quite paranoid, she just tries to be ready for anything that could possibly happen. The she-cat is also very intelligent. When she was an apprentice, she learned fairly quick, and would always help out the other apprentices that couldn't get it as quickly as her. Lastly, Lavenderstar is very confident. She doesn't care what any cat thinks about her, or the decisions she makes, especially cats from other clans. Lavenderstar feels that she has good judgement.
It's also known that Lavenderstar can be very sarcastic at times, too. She doesn't mean to come off that way, but when a cat asks a question she felt she had explained well enough already, well, it bugs her. Thus, she gives them a sarcastic response. Lavenderstar is very impulsive, too. There's rarely a time where she actually sits down to think about something. Mostly she gets ideas quickly and just does them. Along with Lavenderstar being sarcastic, she can also be pretty sassy. The she-cat can be a cheeky little thing, and it doesn't always help her in some situations. She can also be very finicky at times. Most of the time it's usually about her nest. If it's not a certain way, she just cannot go to sleep that night. No other cat can make it for her, either. She is the one who cleans out the leader den of all the dirty bedding. Lavenderstar is very impatient. She hates waiting to find out things, especially news from her clanmates. You can tell when she's tired of waiting when she starts to pace or her tail starts twitching. Lavenderstar has always been known to be very stubborn. Once she has her mind set on something, she's not going to change her ways, no matter what her clanmates try and advise her to do. Lastly, she has been known to hold a grudge or two. This doesn't happen often, but when it does, most cats know it's because that cat had to have done something extremely awful.
Lavenderstar is known to be very nice and loving of her clanmates, but it's a different story when that cat isn't in her clan. It's not that she's mean to them, it's the fact that they aren't in her clan and they could possibly do something to harm her clanmates or her. To her clanmates she's known to be very sweet and loving. Lavenderstar has never had kits before, and she doesn't think she ever will, so she treats her clanmates as if they were her kits. Needless to say, she can be very motherly at times. But when it comes to cats that aren't in her clan, well... She acts just like any mother when a possible threat comes near their children. Of course, when she gets a feel for them, and realizes that they're not there to hurt her clan, she will lighten up and become friendly to that cat.
Throughout her life, Lavenderstar has never really been the loving type. Sure, she cares about her clanmates with a passion, but she has never been the type to even think about settling down with a mate. It's not that she isn't attracted to toms, but since she was recently made leader, she doesn't want to focus on anything other than keeping her clan safe. She doesn't envy or hate cats that have mates, either. Being that she's never yearned to feel loved, or even just to have a mate, she doesn't mind. The only thing she's ever really wanted was kits, but she doesn't see that ever happening in the future.

history
It was all cliche, really. Kestrelpaw had had a crush on Asterpaw since they had gotten out of the nursery, and she had always dreamed of them being together. Their relationship became stronger as their apprenticeship went on, and eventually they realized they both had feelings for each other. A few moons after they both became warriors, Asterwhisker asked Kestrelwing if she would be his mate, and that was that.
A few moons later, Kestrelwing found out she was with kits, and she eventually moved into the nursery. It wasn't long before two she-kits were taking residence inside the nursery. The bigger of the two, Lavenderkit, was the one who lead all the adventures the two had. She would drag Mousekit all over the nursery, exploring every nook and cranny of the den. When they were two and a half moons old, they were finally allowed to go out of the nursery. Landerkit was a little disappointed that they had to stay within their mother's sight, but she managed to find enough within the ThunderClan clearing.
When Lavenderkit and Mousekit were four moons old, they were given an opportunity to escape. Late one afternoon, when Kestrelwing was taking a nap, Lavenderkit decided she wanted to go for an adventure with Mousekit. She waited until she didn't hear any warriors in the clearing before they went out, and when they did, they had no idea where to go. Lavenderkit didn't want to leave the camp, because she didn't want to get into that much trouble. So, they ended up going to the Elder's Den.
When they got there, the elders scolded them for leaving the nursery without letting their mother know, but eventually they softened. After all, no elder could stay mad at a kit. Lavenderkit and Mousekit stayed in the Elder's Den listening to their stories until Kestrelwing woke up. The two she-kits could tell she was furious by the way she stormed into the den, asking them where they had been. An older elder, Thorntail, spoke up for them, telling their mother that they had been in the den with them all afternoon, that she had nothing to worry. He also told her that the kits could stay in the den with them until it was time for dinner, that she could rest. Even so young, Lavenderkit could tell that her mother didn't want to, but she wouldn't dare argue with an elder, so she left.
The rest of Lavenderkit's kitthood flew by in a breeze. She played with any apprentice or young warrior that wasn't busy, and she counted down the days until she would become an apprentice. It just didn't seem to come quick enough for Lavenderkit, she wanted to help her clan as soon as she possibly could.
At six moons, Lavenderkit had her apprenticeship ceremony, along with her sister Mousekit, and they became Lavenderpaw and Mousepaw. Lavenderpaw was given to a newly made warrior, Eagleclaw. She had never really gotten to know him, but he seemed to be pretty well respected by all the warriors. Lavenderpaw was excited about becoming an apprentice, not to mention all the duties that came with it. She did everything Eagleclaw told her to do, and they had a pretty nice relationship. He was happy that she was taking her training seriously, and Lavenderpaw was happy that he was taking training her seriously, as well.
Nothing too major happened throughout her apprenticeship. She did everything Eagleclaw told her to do, not to mention she picked up on all the hunting and battle moves he taught her pretty quickly as well. Eventually, she was given her final assessment, and she passed with flying colors.
After Eagleclaw deemed her worthy of becoming a warrior, Featherstar held a warrior ceremony for her. Mousepaw's mentor had recently deemed her eligible to become a warrior as well, so they were able to have their ceremony together. By then, Lavenderpaw was twelve moons, so their ceremony was right on time. Featherstar made her new name Lavenderbreeze and her sister's to be Mousefur. Lavenderbreeze was proud of her new name, and sat vigil with her sister with her head held high.
In the beginning moons of her warriorhood, Lavenderbreeze tried to do everything she could to help her clan. She was running herself ragged with all the things she was taking on, like extra patrols, extra hunting, and always checking up on the queens and elders. She was told multiple times to settle down by senior warriors, that she was going to get tired very soon and not want to do anything, but that never happened. Eventually she got into a routine, and she continued to do that routine, well, until she was assigned to mentor a cat.
It honestly surprised Lavenderbreeze when Featherstar asked her if she would be willing to mentor Applekit, a small brown tabby. Lavenderbreeze had always wanted an apprentice, so of course she said yes. Since she had frequented the nursery, she knew exactly who Applekit was, and she had to admit she was excited to teach her. Even though she was smaller than the other kits in her litter, she had a fire inside her.
For the first moons of Applepaw's apprenticeship, all went well. Applepaw was a lovely apprentice and Lavenderbreeze was proud to call her hers. Lavenderbreeze trained her hard, but that was only because she knew the tiny apprentice could take it, and Applepaw didn't complain, so she didn't change her ways. Eventually, it was time for Applepaw to become a warrior, and it make Lavenderbreeze extremely happy to see that she had made a kit into a warrior. Her new name was Applebelly.
Moons later, Lavenderbreeze was a more experienced warrior. She was helping around the clan any way she could, and she was just loving life. Well, until the death of ThunderClan's deputy, Foxfur. It was a sudden death, and the medicine cat claimed that it was a natural occurrence. Foxfur didn't suffer a painful death, thank StarClan. It was a sad time, being as Foxfur was one of the most well-respected warriors in ThunderClan.
By moonhigh, it was time for the leader to announce the new deputy, and Lavenderbreeze couldn't help but fidget. There was a small spark somewhere inside her hoping that she would be picked, but the majority of her was telling her to hush, Featherstar was going to pick some cat that was a lot more experienced than her. But when Featherstar looked right at her, calling her name as the new deputy of ThunderClan, Lavenderbreeze let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. This was it, this was the beginning of her dream.
Lavenderbreeze had to admit, she loved the role of deputy. Not necessarily bossing other cats around, but being able to help ThunderClan. She knew how much prey was going to be brought back for the day, what borders were going to be patrolled, and what all happened between her clanmates and the other clans. It was an exciting experience, really. Though, she had to admit she was surprised when Featherstar appointed her mentor of a large brown tom, Hawk-kit. She thought she was done with mentoring, and was thrilled to be able to do it again.
Most of the training seemed to go by quickly, especially since Hawkpaw was so eager to learn everything she could possibly teach. At the end of his training, Hawkpaw confessed something to Lavenderbreeze. He brought her away from all the other cats, and Lavenderbreeze could tell he was nervous by the way he was fidgeting. Finally, he just blurted it out. "I'm in love with you, Lavenderbreeze." Honestly, she had never been more shocked in her life. How could this young apprentice know what love was, when she had never experienced it before in her life. It wasn't that she was jealous, just a little curious. Lavenderbreeze let him down softly, telling him that it would never work. She was focusing on her duty as deputy and would probably never take on a mate. Eventually Hawkpaw went on to be Hawkclaw, and they didn't really talk much.
Moons later is when the sickness came. It took the cats what seemed like ages to realize it was the prey and herbs that were affecting them. Many cats died, but the death of her leader, Featherstar, hit Lavenderbreeze hard. Over the time of her being deputy, she had formed a bond with her leader. She had loved her as if she were kin. It was the herbs that killed her, the medicine cat predicted. The prey made her sick, and the herbs made it no better. Their land was polluted. Lavenderbreeze still went and received her nine lives, though. The other clans had been talking about moving to a new territory, and she needed to have her nine lives if she wanted to live to see the end of the journey.
She was now Lavenderstar, leader of ThunderClan.
Barely a half moon after Lavenderstar became the leader all of the clans moved. It didn't take them long to reach the shore from the lake, and Lavenderstar tried to stay optimistic for her clan. It wouldn't do them any good if their leader was still sad, mourning over her lost friend. No, she had to put her clan before anything now. It didn't take them long to form borders over their new territory. It was perfect for all the clans, and Lavenderstar especially liked ThunderClan territory.
They've been in the new territories for a good moon now, and Lavenderstar is still trying to get accustomed to being the leader. She's managing.
