"Just kick back and let the feelin' flow."
personality
Crowfur is the type of guy that likes to lay around rather than work. He does what he needs to do in order to pull his weight, and rarely ever anything more. To put it simply, he's lazy. While he is in no position to refuse requests for help from his Clanmates since he does possibly the least amount of noticeable work, that doesn't mean he won't drag his tail and subtly complain the whole time.
It's not quite that he hates to work that Crowfur is like this, he simply likes to test those around him and see their reactions to his attitude. A trait such as this can make the tom quite infuriating, especially when he moves on from complaining to poking at your nerves. Once this occurs, one would do well to completely ignore him if their patience is easily frayed. Crowfur is quite skilled at getting under the skin of those around him with a few simply drawn words and exercises this skill regularly.
Being the handsome devil he is, it just wouldn't be right if he wasn't a womanizer, would it? His laid-back and admittedly suave attitude has been known to attract she-cats. Crowfur enjoys the attention just as much as he enjoys being alone and napping in the sun. It doesn't really matter to him if he's alone or not and he doesn't have a large sexual capacity to fill, he simply spends a lot of time leading girls on to his leisure. Why? Crowfur gets bored easily; he has a rather short attention span with a lot of things and rarely stays interested in those around him long. Often times he stirs up trouble as a sort of game, just to relieve the monotonous gray of a day filled with nothing but boredom.
This warrior seems like quite the bastard, a lazily mischievous leech that sucks what he can from Clan-life to sate his ever present boredom; this is only part of the truth. There are good points to Crowfur just like anyone else, he's just someone that tends to not show them a lot.
Manipulation is a subjective thing, something that easily sways the minds of those emotionally or psychologically weak. This doesn't particularly mean the manipulated party has to be a weak-minded kit, they could just as easily be stubborn and strong-willed and be manipulated quite easily without their knowing. Crowfur isn't one of those who is easily influenced. He has this roll-with-the-punches attitude that makes him difficult to manipulate. Nothing quite gets to him like it does others; he simply lets most of what someone else says drift from his ears to the wind, especially when it's a harsh jab at him and his lifestyle. Crowfur doesn't really care to react to those who try and get a rise out of him because he knows from experience it does nothing but create more trouble than it's worth. Bullies find out quickly that all he does is laugh it off and pay no mind to their empty words.
That being said, Crowfur is actually very observant. Rather than getting to know someone by talking to them first, he prefers to get to know them through their movements and actions. Body language tells a lot about a cat and he has learned to watch it closely, for even the most steel-faced warrior will give away something with their body language subconsciously. This is something he learned in his early apprentice moons from his mentor.
Being secretive is something that defines Crowfur, sets him apart from the rest. While this isn't usually a positive trait, it is actually a really good thing about him. It's bad that he keeps his kind, caring side on the down low,but good that it's there. Crowfur isn't as uncaring and self-concerned as he puts on. He likes to put on the mask of a boringly named lazy womanizer with major personality issues, but his heart is warm. It's not obvious if you don't look, but Crow does favors and more work than most behind the scenes. No one notices his giving side, the part of him that is hardworking, but it's most definitely there. He hides this bit of his pesonlity quite well.
One may ask why Crowfur hides his good points if they're something he should be proud of. There are many answers to this; one of them being that he's very humble. The tom may seem very suave and overly confident, but his acts of kindness are simple, something he views as unimportant. Another reason is because he doesn't like being complimented on his natural affinity for helping others. He doesn't do it for recognition, but his own private satisfaction. It would ruin the purpose if he was caught and recognised or rewarded for it since it's not what he's after. Crowfur also just hates being over-estimated, or expected to fill high standards. Low expectations make him comfortable, normal. Being viewed as just a regular lazy guy is fine with him, he's never been very interested in the spotlight anyway.

history
Important cats;
- Mother: Wrencloud [dead]
- Father: Nightstrike [dead]
- Younger Sister: Jayberry [alive]
- Niece: Rosepaw [alive]
- Nephew: Sootpaw [alive]
- Sister's Bastard Mate: Bouldergust [dead]
- Mentor: Icewatcher [alive]
- First Apprentice: Firefang [alive]
Crowkit was born in a litter of stillborns, him the last born and largest. Obviously he had been the strongest as well and grew into a lively little guy. His kithood was uneventful, him showing a large amount of intelligence and mischief early. The black and white kit gave Wrencloud a run for her money, always sneaking out to sleep in the warriors den with his father, Nightstrike. He also tended to attempt very intricate pranks on the apprentices, usually filled with sweet berries, ants, spiders, and cobweb. Needless to say, Crowkit was extremely creative and sneaky. The medicine cat never knew what hit them when he slipped a few berries and cobweb past them. These stunts would ultimately cost him a month and a half longer than usual in the nursery. Despite this, his parents were proud of how crafty their kit was showing to be. They had dreams of him becoming leader one day.
The day of his apprentice ceremony was a very exciting one. Icewatcher was to be his mentor, and despite having just been named himself three moons ago, he was well known for being extremely wise and valuable to the Clan. Crowpaw's father had mentored him, so it thrilled the young cat to be able to learn from his father's most recent pupil. This excitement was soured all too soon though, Icewatcher taking him to see the territory immediately. There were ulterior motives behind this journey. They weren't going just to see ThunderClan's glorious home, but to talk privately. As soon as the duo were deep in the thickly wooded forests of their Clan's land, Icewatcher had turned on Crowpaw, green eyes intense.
"I know you aren't stupid, Crowpaw. You have showed promise, just as I have. There are already many cats very jealous of you at this moment, and if you choose to show your excellence, you will be targeted. There will be cats who genuinely hate you for being better than them. Now is the time I'll give you the choice: either go on flaunting your greatness and live with many others targeting you for it, or become someone different. If you choose the latter, you'll have to lower all expectations, disappoint the Clan. I will still train you to be the best you can be, but you will have to slack. I'm offering this to you because I have lived through many bullies and jealous attacks; I don't want you going into this knowing nothing. I want you to have the choice I didn't"
All the words and intensity in his mentor's eyes made Crowpaw scared, panicked. The little tom had sat there, frozen for a few long minutes before finally looking from his paws to the white boulder of a cat before him again. The future of jealousy he'd painted so clearly for him was terrifying, he already disliked being raised to such a high standard as becoming leader some day, so he did choose the latter. Crowpaw became lazy,lack-luster. While he was capable of getting by, he didn't shine like his parents had hoped. ThunderClan was disappointed and the jealousy-filled glares of the envious quickly disappeared. It was questionable what had happened to the once-promising tom, but their raw dissatissfaction made them simply shake their heads and ask nothing. They had seen many promising cats simply give up and took it the same had happened to Crowpaw.
In the midst of dealing with their shock and sense of failure with Crowpaw, Wrencloud and Nightstrike tried for more children, ones they could shape better than their first son. It was during Crowpaw's tenth moon that his parents finally had a single kit they named Jaykit. She was sweet and a fast learner. As an older brother, Crowpaw often visited his sister when he wasn't busy training with Icewatcher, playing around with female apprentices, or joking around with male apprentices. The two had a close bond from the beginning, and Crowpaw became his sister's role-model, despite him being "the disappointment of the family". Of course their parents still loved him and supported what made him happy, but the Clan wasn't so understanding and Crowpaw was often called a lazy fool. With Icewatcher's not only physical, but psychological training, he came to not care what anyone thought and did as he liked.
Once finally named a warrior at fourteen moons, the leader had a difficult time naming the tom. He was laid-back enough to be given -belly, but not quite jovial enough. Crowpaw also had potential to be named -fang or -strike like his father, possibly -watcher like his mentor, but he was ultimately dubbed Crowfur. It seemed to suit him best for how insignificant he'd become to the Clan, a regular screw-up. It was all fine for Crowfur, and he took his name into stride. Icewatcher cheered with the most pride, being the only one who knew fully of exactly how great of a warrior Crowfur was.
Two moons later, Jaykit was named Jaypaw and apprenticed to a cat around Icewatcher's age. His named was Bouldergust and he was a rather scary tom to be around, but Jaypaw was unbothered by his intimidating looks. Crowfur watched the two carefully, wary of his sister's mentor. The tom was notorious for being harsh and he wouldn't tolerate Jaypaw getting hurt. Nothing bad happened aside from a few yowls and insults to her that Crowfur was quick to correct the tom on. It was no surprise though when the odd duo became mates shortly after Jaypaw was named Jayberry.
Things were going well for the couple, especially when Jayberry announced her pregnancy. Bouldergust seemed to become softer, kinder. He doted on his mate, made sure his kits were going to be healthy. Crowfur noted bitterly that he'd only come to dote on his sister when she'd become pregnant. Being the ever protective elder brother, Crowfur continued to watch from a distance as he slacked, per usual. The kits were born without a hitch, one gray and white like their mother and grandmother, and the other black like their grandfather. The male was named Sootkit for his gray pelt and the female was named Rosepaw for her delicate, beautiful features. It was then things began to sour. Bouldergust became jealous that his kits liked their mother best and was convinced Jayberry had made it happen on purpose. He began to physically and verbally abuse his mate, enraging his Clanmates, and most of all, Crowfur.
Rage racked Crowfur, making him see red the first and last time he'd seen his sister's bastard mate attack her. He'd completely blanked out, not realizing it as he almost literally dragged the tom out of camp. ThunderClan was astonished to see the usually lazy, infuriating Crowfur get angry. The two toms were followed only to find Crowfur atop a bloodied, nearly dead Bouldergust. He was taken back to camp and treated while Crowfur cleaned himself up and ignored the surprised looks of his Clanmates. They didn't know at the time what was going on until he told them. Bouldergust was then banished from the Clan and later found dead on the outskirts of the territory.
Jayberry cried and thanked her brother, telling him of how cruel the tom had been and how she'd been happy when he was finally nice only because of the kits. It was then he vowed to protect his sister and the kits. Crowfur began to try and help the now traumatised kits and was so close when they were named apprentices shortly before disaster struck once more, only this time for all the Clans. The land was poisoned and cats (including their parents) perished from it. In the end, they all travelled for a new place to live and made it to their current home just recently after weeks of journeying. Rosepaw and Sootpaw are still shell-shocked from their father's abuse toward their mother in their presence and are slowly getting better with Crowfur's help. He watches the pair of siblings closely, secretly observing their mentors, scrutinizing them, now wary of who surrounds his family. StarClan has yet to return, but Crowfur could care less, his family is safe.
Since the arrival at the new territory, Crowfur finished the training of an apprentice his father had been training before he died. The two became quite close and Firepaw learned a lot from Crowfur in their short time together. He is now Firefang and a close friend of Crowfur's. He is proud of his first apprentice, despite not being the one to have trained him most of the way.
